Taken By The Sea
I’m again shooting seascapes and trying to regain the confidence I lost together with my lens about 2 months ago. Although I was able to replace my lens almost immediately, my passion for shooting was converted to fear of losing more gear. It was only this weekend that I got the courage to go out again and face the very thing that took away my passion.
This time though, I was prepared to get wet and there were less crazy stunts of jumping from one rock to the next. This was taken at the southern part of the Jogashima Island in Miura, Japan. It is not that far from Yokohama and is very accessible via train and bus. I’d probably return next week if the weather permits.

Visited the Flower Festival in Showa Kinen Park yesterday for the first time. I was expecting a heavy crowd but was surprised to get clean shots of most the places I liked. To get to this final image, I combined a few shots with different focus points. It was a little windy so I shot this with a fast aperture. I focused first in the foreground and then the background while thinking of combining them later in photoshop to get the deep depth of field.
